The antiserum was produced against synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human elF4E around the phosphorylation site of serine 209 (S-G-SP-T-T).Purification:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatogramphy using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.Specificity/Sensitivity:
elF4E (phospho-Ser209) antibody detects endogenous levels of elF4E only when phosphorylated at serine 209.Reactivity:
